Newance is a magazine being created to reshape how we think of the future. It is set in 2065, a fact the entire publication simply takes for granted. Through this futuristic lens, creators Anneliese Kappey and Serita Braxton tell tales of a past that is entirely made-up. It is part revisionist and mostly speculative fiction, though without the warnings of things that we are already experiencing. This is an envisioned, completely plausible future that will "look back" on the next forty years. In the process, readers of Newance will expand what's possible and exercise their creative muscles; carve new neural pathways -- all while creating and building a good future for all of us, from the ashes of this nearly failed present.
